10 to 13 years old
Discover an exceptional summer camp and language immersion program for preteens aged 10 to 13 in Megève, located in the heart of the French Alps near Mont Blanc. This camp combines language classes, sports, and creative activities in an international environment, providing a fully immersive and unforgettable experience.

Campers take part in French or English lessons tailored to their language level, taught by native-speaking teachers or those with extensive experience living in the language’s country of origin. The teaching approach focuses on conversation and the joy of learning, making the process interactive and engaging.
Outside the classroom, campers benefit from a deep linguistic immersion, practicing the language naturally through interactions with French or English speaking peers. This encourages authentic and relaxed communication, helping to solidify language skills.
The program offers a wide range of activities to match the campers’ energy and curiosity. Outdoor adventures like rock climbing, mountain biking, and archery are balanced with creative workshops, including painting, drama, and dance. For those seeking to specialize, options like tennis, golf, climbing, or additional language lessons provide tailored experiences to enhance specific skills.
Evenings and weekends are packed with relaxing moments and exciting excursions to iconic destinations, such as the Mer de Glace glacier in Chamonix and the stunning Lake Annecy, often called the “Venice of the Alps.” This Megève camp offers preteens a perfect mix of discovery, learning, and adventure for an enriching summer in the French mountains.

    Language Lessons
    in Summer Camp

Lessons are taught by native-speaking and highly qualified teachers with extensive experience working with children.

Teachers design yearly updated programs to keep learning dynamic and engaging.

Classes focus on developing vocabulary and fluency while ensuring that the process is enjoyable and interactive.. Small class sizes (a maximum of 8 students per group) ensure every child gets individual attention and ample opportunity to participate.

Students are assessed at the start of the camp to place them in the most suitable class based on their proficiency level.

Emphasis is placed on conversation and building confidence through practice.

The lessons are delivered using the direct method, which relies on the active participation of the student, taught by teachers who exclusively teach in their native language.

To apply their language skills, children perform in a group drama production at the end of camp, guided by their teachers and camp leaders. Weekly lessons include 15 hours of interactive language learning, ensuring campers make progress while enjoying the process.

    Sports Activities
    in Summer Camp

At summer camp, afternoons are dedicated to a variety of captivating sports activities designed not only to entertain but also to encourage language learning in a dynamic and immersive environment. Our bilingual counselors lead groups of children where English and French blend seamlessly, fostering natural exchanges in both languages throughout the activities.

Children participate in a variety of activities such as:
swimming, ice skating, mini-golf, rafting, dog hiking, fishing, rock climbing, tree climbing and zip line, “All together” games, taking gondola to hiking to the mountains, trampoline, golf, biathlon, laser tag, leisure park activities, water games, and building huts.

Each of these activities is an opportunity to learn through practice: the counselors encourage children to give instructions, ask questions, or share their experiences in a language different from their native language.

This immersive program offers participants the chance to improve their language skills effortlessly in a warm and friendly environment. Through games and collaboration, children experience the joy of learning a new language while having fun. It’s an enriching and unforgettable experience that blends sports, culture, and language learning seamlessly—a perfect summer camp adventure in France for young learners!

    Supervision & Safety

We understand that your child’s safety and well-being are the top priorities when they are away from home. At International Language Camps, many members of our team have been with us for years, bringing extensive experience in working with children. From the director to teachers and activity leaders, every team member is qualified, bilingual, and committed to providing the best care.

Our supervision ratio of one adult for per five campers is double the legal requirement set by the French government. This allows us to give personalized attention to each child, addressing their individual needs.
The camp director personally knows every camper and is available 24/7 to address any concerns you may have. For activities requiring specialized supervision (such as mountaineering or climbing), our trained leaders accompany children alongside certified professionals to ensure safety at all times.
Our motivated and experienced team not only ensures the well-being of the participants but also serves as role models, fostering a supportive and inspiring environment for the children.
